Farmingdale State College

PROJECT SUMMARY | 
Creation of an integrated marketing campaign supporting the President of the college's initiative to provide statistics and ranking data to supplement the value, quality education, and benefits of attendance at Farmingdale State College.


PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES |

GOALS |
Create a comprehensive marketing campaign that educates prospective students, business partners, and the campus community on the latest rankings of FSC programs, accreditations, and educational value.

SOLUTIONS | 

A creative strategy was developed to promote the ranking data in a homepage module, department webpages, social media graphics, digital billboards, train station posters, and an online marketing campaign.

  • Digital campaign graphics were created and provided to outside digital marketing agencies for distribution.

  • Social media campaign rolled on out FSC channels.

  • Train station posters were created and included QR codes to encourage immediate engagement.

  • Homepage module was created with randomization to display a different series of rankings and data with each refresh of a webpage.

RESULTS | 

  • SUCCESSES  

    • Admissions recruiters report prospective students and families repeat metrics rankings when inquiring about programs.

    • Departments post rankings and test rates to increase their program enrollment.

    • Increased exposure to the value of education at Farmingdale State College resulting in a 20% increase in application rates since implementation.

  • FUTURE GOALS  

    • The campaign has been active for six months and in that time we have learned that prospective students and their families prefer the message to be reversed. They want to hear about the benefits through storytelling and conversationally then learn about the supporting data. Currently, the campaign is being reimagined to support that information delivery.
